 BODY:    SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 17 /PRN/ -- Stockholders of Datapoint 
Corporation (NYSE), at the company's annual meeting here today, elected 
10 directors, nine of whom are incumbents, and added Evelyn Berezin to 
the board of directors.    Re-elected directors were:  Gene K. Beare, 
Harry G. Bowles, Edward P. Gistaro, William G. Karnes, Thomas J. 
Klutznick, Dr. George Kozmetsky, Dr.  William C. Leone,  Harold E. 
O'Kelley, and Victor D. Poor.  The newly elected Ms. Berezin is president 
of Greenhouse Management Corporation, a venture capital fund based in 
Glen Cove, N.Y.  She also serves on numerous other boards and was founder 
and president of Redactron Corporation, now a word processing subsidiary 
of Burroughs Corporation.    At the annual meeting, Datapoint 
stockholders also ratified the appointment of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & 
Co. as the company's independent auditors for the fiscal year ending July 
31, 1984, and approved a proposed stock option plan.    Datapoint, a 
FORTUNE 500 industrial firm, manufactures, markets and services local 
area networks, multifunction workstations and dispersed computing and 
office systems worldwide.
